Rector Dalgar, Met with the Academicians Newly Joined to Our University

The Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, met with the newly appointed academics to our university.

 

The meeting held in the Rectorate Senate Room was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen, Rector Advisors Prof. Dr. İsmail Çelik and Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan. Starting his speech by saying "Welcome to a prestigious university like MAKU", Rector Dalgar emphasized that the ideals, values, diligence and determination of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, from whom the university takes its name, should guide and stated that high responsibilities fall on the new academics.

 

"We are the Pioneer in Innovative Education Models"

Prof. Dr. Dalgar, drawing attention to the "perception blindness" that working in the same job for a long time can bring, expressed the university's desire to work with idealist and innovative staff. Dalgar, who said that they need to constantly think forward for the development of the university, stated that they expect the new academics to contribute to the development of MAKU.

 

"We are After Difference and Further"

 

"We are constantly in pursuit of new openings. We are thinking about how to differentiate and go further. We are after what is not in other universities." Rector Dalgar, who emphasized, referred to the policy document prepared with MAKU's "From Universal Knowledge to Social Contribution" motto and emphasized that the university is ranked first as a specialized university in regional development. Dalgar, stating that they are pioneers with innovative education models, said that the university that first started the 6+2 and 7+1 applied education models was MAKU.

 

Dalgar, reminding that the university is one of the 20 universities that can get full accreditation among 208 universities in Turkey, stated that MAKU is an innovative university that always aims to go further. He added that they have made artificial intelligence courses mandatory in all departments and that academic performance points will be given.

 

At the end of the meeting, Rector Dalgar emphasized that the prestige of the institution means the prestige of everyone, and expressed that he expects support from new academics to carry the university to a more prestigious position. The meeting ended with an exchange of ideas with the new academics.
